Consumption of fatty foods increase the risk of pancreatic cancer
Consumption of fatty foods and high-calorie can increase the risk of pancreatic cancer , according to new research .
The study involves precisely laboratory mice become obese due to eating fatty and high calorie foods . In addition to obesity , the mice also eventually developed pancreatic cancer .
As quoted from the Health , research conducted by experts from the University of California at Los Angeles . Nonetheless , researchers confirmed that the same thing may not necessarily occur in humans , because they are just doing research on animal experiments .
" It is also not simply mean eating fatty foods can cause pancreatic cancer . Yet the link between the two is quite high , " said lead researcher Dr. Guido Eibl .
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly types of cancer . Only three to five percent of people who are convicted of this cancer has a chance to live more than five years .
In many cases , a new pancreatic cancer also detected after entering the advanced stages of the condition of the patient . Until now there has been no effective treatment for treating pancreatic cancer . So the researchers tried hard to find prevention.
The results of the study are reported in the journal Cancer Prevention Research .
