He said people should perform breast self-examination (breast self examination ) to know the symptoms of breast cancer , but most are afraid to do it .

" People are afraid to examine their own breasts , some of them feel better not knowing breast cancer , " said a doctor who also taught at the medical faculty of the University of Indonesia .

" And fear like this should be avoided because it is very useful early examination , so as to know there are symptoms of early cancer is also greater likelihood of recovery , " he added .

He said that breast self- checking can be done when lying down , while bathing , and in front of the mirror to do it at the same time every month .
