Wear Sunscreen To Prevent Skin Cancer - Proof Sunscreen Prevents Cancer

Sunscreen not only give 100 percent protection for the skin from sunburn, but also protect the "super genes" that can be against three types of skin cancer, according to results of a study by researchers from the Queensland University of technology, Australia.

After doing a series of skin biopsy at 57 people before and been exposed to UV light with and without sunscreen, researchers found a sunscreen efficiently protect the skin from sunburn, as quoted from Xinhua.

The study showed the sunscreen shields called the gene p53 work to prevent the three types of skin cancer: basal cell carcinoma, (KSB), Squamous Cell Carcinoma (KSS) and maligna melanoma (MM). "As soon as our skin is broken due to sunlight, p53 genes are working to fix the damage and prevent skin cancer occurs," said Chief Researcher Elke hackers.

It's just that, he said, if the skin is sunburned regularly then the mutated p53 gene and can no longer do its job, which is repairing skin damage caused by sunburn. "... and without the protection of skin cancer would be more likely to occur," said Hacker.

Hacker said the study could be used to develop the post treatment of sunburn, as super sunscreen, to help repair damaged skin.
