Skin cancer trigger the growth of other types of cancer
Patients at high risk of skin cancer turns out to other types of cancer in the future , according to new research .
The study says that women with a rather non-melanoma skin cancer ( eg, basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma ) 26 percent risk of another cancer in the future . As for men , the risk of experiencing similar conditions was 15 percent .
A total of 150,000 respondents involved in the research conducted for more than 20 years . So that there is strong evidence that skin cancer is able to trigger the growth of other types of cancer in a person .
According to Professor Anthony Alberg of the Medical University of South Carolina who was not involved in the research , non-melanoma skin cancer is common and its not too deadly . But the existence of this study make a lot of health experts was quite surprised and started noticing more seriously .

Professor Alberg also hoped that the study could be explored further to find out what exactly triggers of other types of cancer in former non - melanoma cancer patients .
