The Belt Tight To Trigger A Throat Cancer?

The belt or the belt is often didigunakan to spruce up the appearance or clarify the grooves of the body. However, using the belt too tight can be detrimental to health, namely cancer of the throat or esophagus.

It is the result of the findings of the four universities, namely the University of Glasgow, the University of science Malaysia, University of Strathclyde, and the Southern General Hospital.

Mentioned in the research, the tight belt trigger stomach acid leaked into the throat, to finally cause damage to cells.

The researchers asked 24 volunteers wearing the belt. Those chosen did not have a history of acid reflux at all. Twelve of them had normal waist ukurang, less than 80 cm in men and 94cm in women. The twelve again imposed on people with a larger waist size, which is more than 102cm in men and more than 88 cm in women.

Due to the wearing of a belt, researchers saw cell changes in the junction between the stomach and esophagus. These changes include the leaking of acid reflux from the stomach, towards the throat. The researchers also found, those who have a larger waist size, turned out to be more susceptible.

"Wearing a tight belt, especially if you are overweight, it will cause damage to the valve between the stomach and the throat. This makes stomach acid leaks up into the throat, "said Kenneth McColl, researchers from the University of Glasgow.

A damaged esophagus by stomach acid causes heartburn. Effects of oesophageal cancer is long-term, the fastest growing diseases in the world.

Cancer of the esophagus include rare in the United Kingdom, around 8,200 cases each year. However, the number of sufferers of the disease nearly doubled in 30 years. With obesity and acid reflux leaks as the cause.

"Frequent heartburn is a symptom of early esophageal cancer, even just regular heartburn is often seen, so the diagnosis will be late and the life expectancy was lower," added Kenneth Telegraph was quoted as saying.
