Meanwhile , there are interesting findings that show that men who go bald in the forehead 6 times greater risk of developing prostate cancer by the age of 60 years compared with men who are not bald .

This is because the type of baldness has a different effect . Men who go bald in all parts of the head ( frontal hair loss ) , are known to have a greater risk than men who experience baldness at the crown of the head or top of the head . This contrasts with previous studies that say there is no difference in the risk of different types of baldness .

The existence of genetic factors and hormonal changes

The relationship between baldness and prostate cancer risk is not yet certain . However , experts argue that it is related to hormonal changes . DHT ( dihydrotestosterone ) , solving the male hormone , associated with thinning of the hair follicle and an increased risk of prostate cancer .

The number of cases of prostate cancer experienced by African-American men also indicate genetic factors . However , it is still more deeply researched by experts .
