Cancer and Diabetes could be Detected Early Through Saliva
In
the next few years, detection of malicious diseases such as cancer,
diabetes and heart, it would be much more sophisticated, simple,
efficient and easy.
Researchers
from Malmo University in Sweden suggests, various diseases can be
detected early by simply checking the patient's saliva.
This detection, is expected to save time and cost. Both patients and physicians are issued, because patients only send samples of salivanya to the doctor.
Via saliva, doctors can identify the disease indicators.
"Instead
of going to the doctor, the patient lived took samples of saliva with
cotton bud and sends it to the analyst or the doctor. If
the test shows, the patient will be asked to check with a doctor, "said
lead researcher Professor Björn Klinge, as TRIBUNnews.com quoted from
the Daily Mail.
However, as previously mentioned, it still takes a long time to really ensure the accuracy of detection. At least five to ten years.
"This
time, we've been able to use saliva to detect a patient suffering from
dangerous diseases, but we haven't been able to mendignosis whether the
disease menjakit certain body parts," said Bjorn.
In
addition, differences in body condition with bodily fluids, such as
blood and saliva, are also a factor determining physician barrier an
accurate indicator of the disease.
"We
hope to find soon a component in the saliva that can indicate if the
patient concerned has the possibility of having the disease," said
Bjorn.
He
also hoped the medical technology, the development of an increasingly
sophisticated adults this can accelerate the work doctors found such
indicators.
