Study : Peanut Consumption Capable Emergence Prevent Pancreatic Cancer

Do not hesitate anymore to choose nuts as a healthy snack menus you . A recent study revealed another benefit of eating peanuts , which reduces the risk of the emergence of pancreatic cancer .

Researchers from Harvard University reported that consumption of nuts such as almonds , cashews , and other nuts are very influential in reducing your risk of pancreatic cancer . The study, published online in the British Journal of Cancer examined the association between nut consumption and risk of pancreatic cancer in 75 680 women respondents .

The results showed that those who ate one ounce of nuts , including almonds , Brazil nuts , cashews , hazelnuts , macadamias , pecans , pine nuts , pistachios , and walnuts , at least twice a week were much less likely to pancreatic cancer than those who do not eat them .

" This reduction in risk is not related to some other factors that also influence such as age , height , obesity , physical activity , smoking , and diabetes , " said lead researcher Ying Bao , MD , of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School , as quoted from Max Health News , Monday ( 11/11/2013 ) .

Not only that , this study also showed that women who incorporate nuts in their diet tend to have lower body weight than women who are reluctant to eat .

Nuts are loaded with beneficial nutrients such as vitamins , minerals , and phytochemicals , the previously mentioned study also has strong links with better mental function and lower the risk for diabetes .
