Given these tests , it is hoped that many tumors are detected early and lower the risk of dying from cancer .
Currently , saliva tests are still being studied development by experts from Cancer Research UK . The results of these studies are also expected to lead to new cancer drug discovery and screening tests for ovarian cancer .
" We 're trying to enter an era in which the cancer can be detected quickly and precisely to prevent deadly health risk , " said Dr Harpal Kumar , Cancer Research , as quoted by the Daily Mail .
During this time , 100,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer , prostate , and ovarian annually . But during these examination methods used to detect cancer is not very helpful to effectively and efficiently .
The results of these studies are then reported in five different journals , one of which is the Nature Genetics .
